Second Life: A Virtual Environment to Reduce Students’ Foreign Language Anxiety

La adquisición de un segundo idioma es constructo complejo en el cual no sólo factores cognitivos juegan papel crucial, sino también afectivos. En las últimas décadas, análisis los afectivos aprendizaje segundas lenguas e idiomas extranjeros ha ganado prominencia. Diversas investigaciones han demostrado una fuerte correlación entre y aspectos como la personalidad, motivación, actitud o ansiedad (p. ej., Gardner, 2020; Hewitt & Stephenson, 2011; MacIntyre 1989). El objetivo este artículo examinar si nivel causado por extranjeras (FLA) podría disminuir usando mundos virtuales tales cómo Second Life (SL) para enseñanza idiomas. Esta investigación compara niveles FLA Grupo Experimental (EG), que completó tres actividades a través SL, con Control (CG), mismas aula tradicional. Los resultados indican participantes EG disminuyeron medida clases avanzaban comparación CG. Además, conclusiones sugieren confianza trabajaban SL aumentó paso del tiempo. Este incremento alumnos atribuirse al crucial desempeña anonimato virtuales.
